Our instructor covers BC's lift truck rules, the machine's controls and safety devices, pre-use inspection, stability and reading the load chart, and placing and retrieving palletized loads at height. Your workers practise on your telehandler with pallet forks under the instructor's supervision, then pass a written exam and a practical evaluation.

Yes. BC's OHS Regulation (Part 16, section 16.43) requires employers to make sure lift truck operators, including telehandler operators, are trained before they operate. There is no WorkSafeBC telehandler licence. Our certificate records each worker's training and assessment; you still check them on your own machine and attachments and authorize them.

One day, about 8 hours, with a lunch break and two short breaks. We agree the start time with you.
Their own CSA-approved safety boots (without them they cannot operate the machine), the PPE your site requires, government-issued photo ID, and a phone for the written exam.
CA$259.95 per person, plus 5% GST, for groups of 3 or more. Your final quote depends on your crew size and location, and we confirm it with you before you pay anything.
On-site training is for groups of 3 or more. For one or two people, ask us about our scheduled classes.
Fixed-boom (non-rotating) telehandlers with pallet forks. Rotating telehandlers, suspended loads, work platforms and lifting people are not covered and need separate training.
Workers who pass the written exam and the practical evaluation get a certificate and wallet card, valid for three years. You manage refresher training and may require it sooner, for example after an incident or a change of machine, attachment or task.
