How long does the blended forklift course take?
The online theory portion takes approximately 4 hours, which you can complete at your own pace across multiple sittings. The on-campus practical session is 2 hours. Total time investment is about 6 hours - split however works for your schedule. Most students complete the online theory in a few evenings and book their practical for a weekend or day off.
Is the blended forklift certification valid across Canada?
Yes. Our blended forklift certification is aligned with WorkSafeBC OHS Regulation Part 16 and CSA Standard B335 - the recognized national standards. The certificate is accepted by employers across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, and every Canadian province and territory.
How long is my forklift certification valid?
Three years from the date of certification. WorkSafeBC and CSA Standard B335 recommend recertification every three years, and many employers require site-specific familiarization when starting on new equipment or after a workplace incident. You can renew by taking the course again anytime.
How do I book my on-campus practical session?
Once you finish the online theory portion, a booking calendar automatically appears in your course dashboard. Select any available date and choose your preferred location - Surrey (303-10252 City Parkway) or Burnaby (122-2544 Douglas Road). You will get an instant confirmation email with all the details. Sessions are available multiple days per week including weekends.
What do I need to bring to the practical session?
Bring CSA-approved steel-toe boots, a high-visibility vest, and safety glasses. We provide the forklift and any additional PPE required for the practical evaluation. Please arrive 10 minutes early with a piece of government-issued photo ID. Comfortable clothing that allows full range of motion is recommended.
Can I complete the online theory portion on my phone?
Yes. Our online forklift theory course is fully mobile-optimized. Study on your phone during a commute, on a tablet at home, or on a work computer. What if I fail the online theory exam or the practical evaluation?
Unlimited retakes are included for the online theory exam at no extra cost. If you do not pass the on-campus practical evaluation on your first attempt, you can re-book a second practical session for a small re-evaluation fee ($75). Most students pass both on the first attempt after completing the online theory thoroughly.
What types of forklifts does this certification cover?
The blended forklift certification covers Class I (Electric Motor Rider), Class IV (Internal Combustion Cushion Tire), Class V (Internal Combustion Pneumatic Tire), and Class VII (Rough Terrain) counterbalanced forklifts. For specialized equipment like reach trucks, order pickers, or telehandlers, we offer additional endorsement courses that can be taken alongside your forklift certification.
Do you offer the course in Spanish?

Is forklift certification legally required in Canada?
Yes.
